The 18th annual Cruisin' Downriver will begin at 10 a.m. June 24, 2017 and cruise through the cities of Lincoln Park, Southgate, Wyandotte, and Riverview.

More than 300,000 car buffs and enthusiasts are expected to line Fort Street in hope of getting a sneak peek at their dream car.

The Cruise route is from Sibley in Riverview to Warwick in Lincoln Park. Cars can enter the Cruise route from any cross street.

There is no registration fee for the cruise itself.

Preferred access to the cruise route is Southfield Freeway, but other access will be permitted.

Each city on the route will enforce a strict code of conduct to ensure public safety; speeding, drag racing, hole shots or laying rubber will not be tolerated.

Violators will be ticketed and removed from the cruise.

Unless otherwise marked, the two curb lanes of northbound and southbound Fort Street will be designated for the cruise.

Since Fort Street will remain open for other traffic, the traffic signals will remain operational and must be observed by all.

Cruisin' Downriver

Downriver has a love affair with cars! We love the classic '57 Thunderbirds and the '55 Chevys, the '69 Camaro and the '70 Chevelle SS muscle cars, all of the Corvettes and the 40-plus years of the Ford Mustang, to name a few. We love the flamed paint jobs, the chrome side pipes, the low rumbles of the powerful engines and the smell of burning rubber!
